Norbert Peshlakai was born in 1953 in Fort Defiance, Arizona in the heart of the Navajo Nation. Norbert is considered a Master Silversmith and Goldsmith and is well known for his jewelry as well as his silver and gold miniature bowls, pots and jars. He started making jewelry in the early 1970's and as his skills improved, so did his popularity. When it comes to Indian Jewelry, his name is among the list of the finest silversmiths producing today. Norbert is always sought out at the large shows such as Santa Fe Indian Market and the Heard Museum Show where he is happy to discuss his available jewelry as well as his inspiration for creating a particular piece. His work now is collected throughout the United States as well as internationally. Much of his work has a contemporary style while using traditional stamps and symbols, set stones, and many times, a combination of silver and gold. Norbert is married, and his wife Linda is also known for her jewelry making, as are their two children, Natasha and Aaron. We are proud to present the works of the Peshlakai Family on our site.
